Kaiju Brooklyn This Weekend!

Thank you to everyone who braved the rainy weather and made it out to Sarah's Handmade Ice Cream this past Saturday! I've never done a pop up at an ice cream shop before and now I think this needs to be a regular thing. And it gave me a chance to test out a new set up with my prints and things. Been doing a lot of smaller pop ups since the start of the year and I'm really digging the more laid back atmosphere compared to a big convention.

And speaking of BIG CONVENTIONS....

KAIJU BROOKLYN

This weekend is Kaiju Brooklyn! I so excited to be vending this year and honestly a bit nervous. I haven't done prints in a long time so debuting them at a show where I'm vending for the first time is a little risky. But I'm very happy with the way they turned out and I feel like this is the perfect audience for toku fandom so might as well jump in with both feet!

Here's some of the stuff I'll have with me. After the show, I'll put a bunch of stuff up on my shop.

SOCCER GODS

A new trading card game is debuting at Kaiju Brooklyn, Soccer Gods! Jeff Gomez of Starlight Runner Entertainment did an interview with the Americano newspaper to give a preview of the game. I got the opportunity to draw three of the limited edition promo cards which will be available at the show and I've got a signing and Saturday and Sunday for the cards! I can't wait to see how they turned out. I got to design the Soccer Gods version of the Jersey Devil, the Raven, and the Amazon River Serpent.

Okay, back to getting ready for the show. See y'all there!!

Thank you to everyone who came out this past weekend to Kaiju Brooklyn! I got to meet the big guy himself courtesy of Project Nautilus who crafted this highly detailed Godzilla suit. It was such a whirlwind of a show that I didn't get the opportunity to take many photos. But if you are at all a fan of giant monsters or karate bug men in suits, keep your eyes on May for next year's Kaiju Brooklyn! Thank you to the team who put together such a fantastic event. The vibes are so good and the...

It's finally here!! I'm so excited! I'm stealing a quote from Jeremy because he sets us up very well: Last we left Tara, she had confessed her feelings for her best friend/roommate Misako while they inadvertently set a kaiju loose, destroying their 2nd campus in a year! Misako said she needed time to decide how she felt, but Tara is totally handling it in normal and not at all panicky ways...actually, she is not. She's got it bad. Oh, but also the world is in danger and only our girls can...
